BREAKING NEWS: Rams Are In Talk To Sign Eagles Top Sensational Player

The Los Angeles Rams should strengthen its secondary because they allowed the fewest passing yards of any team in the NFL last season, placing them among the bottom five teams. A chance recently emerged when the Philadelphia Eagles declared on Friday that safety Kevin Byard would be a free agent following his release. After just ten games with the Eagles, he will probably be sought after by a number of teams.

Although the 30-year-old’s interceptions total for the previous season was modest, the remainder of his stats appeared impressive. He recorded a career-high 122 total tackles by the end of the season, 80 of which were solo tackles. Any club, notably the Rams, might benefit from Byard’s ability to blend strong tackling and pass coverage despite his advanced age. Although he will turn 31 in August, he might offer the Rams the boost they need to win now.

In addition to Aaron Donald, a very inexperienced Rams defense would benefit from the veteran presence of a guy like Byard, should the team decide to sign him. He would particularly give the secondary that same presence as well. It is an area that needs to be addressed if the Rams are to be competitive the next season, regardless of whether they choose to select secondary help in the upcoming NFL Draft or sign a free agent like Byard in the offseason.
