A few years back, the Falcons let Foye Oluokun to sign a free agent contract; since then, he has only succeeded with the Jaguars.
The former sixth-round selection has now signed a new contract with Jacksonville. Tom Pelissero reports that Oluokun and the Jaguars have reached an agreement on a new $45 million, four-year contract.
He will remain in Duvall County until the 2028 season thanks to this, his second deal with the Jaguars.
For the previous two seasons, the Atlanta Falcons star topped the NFL in single tackles. After agreeing to a three-year, $45 million contract to join the Jags a few years ago, he now has a little more stability.
In the last two seasons, he has started 17 games in each, with 128 solo stops in 2022 and 111 last season. The Yale kid had 192 tackles in his final season with the Falcons, a record that hasn’t been surpassed in the twenty-first century.
Off-ball linebackers have been extremely successful with the Falcons. De’Vondre Campbell, Deion Jones, and Olukoun were selected by Atlanta. Even though Jones’ performance declined, at one point he was one of the top players in his position, and Campbell went on to be selected to the Packers’ All-Pro team.
