LSU Adds Commitment From No. 1 IOL in America Tyler Miller
The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder gives offensive line coach Brad Davis another prized talent to add to his position group.
Miller, a Mississippi native, is a consensus four-star recruit on all platforms and the 71st-ranked talent according to On3.
He chose the Tigers over programs like as Ole Miss, Florida, and Mississippi State, among others.
After visiting Baton Rouge last weekend, Miller has ended his recruitment and announced his commitment to Kelly and Co. as spring football begins.
The trip to The Boot opened the path for Miller to commit to the Tigers and join the nation’s top recruiting class.
On3’s assessment of Miller: “Tyler Miller has been in the top 100 of On3 for several months. A player who can play numerous positions on the offensive line. I saw him in person at the Atlanta Under Armour camp, and he is really well-built at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds. Has extra length and arms that are 34 inches or longer. A forceful and physical run-blocker. He’ll need to work on his pass protection, and I believe his skill set currently projects best in the interior, but he’s a good athlete, fluid mover, and a guy who projects well based on his raw physical ability and stature.”
LSU now has four No. 1 talents at their positions committed for the 2025 class.
– Bryce Underwood: No. 1 quarterback.
– Harlem Berry, No. 1 RB
– Dakorien Moore, No. 1 WR
– Tyler Miller: Number one IOL.
Who could be next? Three prospects to keep track of:
James Simon Buzz:
Brian Kelly and his team have been adamant about closing down Louisiana and erecting a wall around the state when it comes to The Boot’s greatest players.
Now, the Tigers have commitments from six of the top ten prospects, with one more on the way.
LSU has continued to pursue James Simon, Louisiana’s No. 4 player.
Following visits with the coaching staff, the No. 2 rushing back in the Bayou State and Top 10 back in the 2025 cycle is swiftly making his way to LSU.
The Recent Visit to Shreveport:
Recruiting guru Frank Wilson and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan visited the No. 2 running back in Louisiana last month after heading to Shreveport.
The four-star, elite 10 back in the 2025 cycle has been courted by the nation’s elite teams, with the Bayou Bengals hoping to retain the Calvary Baptist standout in The Boot.
Wilson, the Tigers’ running backs coach, has already secured a commitment from America’s top running back, Harlem Berry, with Simon the next target.
Simon has been on LSU’s radar for months, but with no commitment date set, the program will keep driving the pedal to the metal in hopes to obtain his talents.
The class of 2025 has the opportunity to change the purple and gold program. With pledges from Bryce Underwood (No. 1 QB), Harlem Berry (No. 1 RB), and Dakorien Moore (No. 1 WR), Brian Kelly and company aren’t kidding around.
The offensive weapons are incredible, and LSU hopes to have an effective one-two punch in the backfield with Berry and Simon.
The Tigers have now completed a visit with their top running back target, following an in-person check-in last month, with another trip scheduled for March 24.
During the last month’s check-in, the staff also had the opportunity to speak with Devin Harper, a four-star offensive lineman who plays high school football alongside Simon.
Harper recently announced his commitment to the purple and gold, with LSU hoping to do the same with Simon.
After consulting with sources acquainted with Simon’s recruitment, LSU Country has made a prediction for the fourth-ranked prospect to join LSU’s loaded 2025 class. Despite the fact that a commitment date has yet to be announced, we anticipate Simon will be a member of the Tigers’ class by the time he signs his contract.
Micah DeBose: No. 3 IOL in America.
One of the top interior offensive linemen in the 2025 cycle traveled to Baton Rouge to meet with Brad Davis and the coaching staff, and the Bayou Bengals began to make noise afterward.
The Tigers are now in the running for the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in America following DeBose’s visit, which came after a pair of crystal balls were recorded last week.
On3’s Chad Simmons and Anna Adams of 247Sports both made predictions.
After speaking with folks connected with DeBose’s recruitment, it’s evident that LSU is making noise and has established itself as the program to beat for his services.
Davis paid the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder a visit in Alabama earlier this month, and DeBose traveled down to The Boot to see what the purple and gold were all about during the first weekend of February.
DeBose, a former Georgia commit, has resumed his recruiting process, with numerous major programs making the rounds.
Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, and USC are just a handful of America’s top colleges tracking DeBose’s recruiting.
Auburn is still making noise in his recruitment, but DeBose is gauging interest from a variety of colleges following Georgia’s decommitment.
LSU has two 2025 offensive line commitments: Brett Bordelon and recent pledge Devin Harper.
Harper, Louisiana’s No. 3 prospect, revealed his commitment to Brad Davis and the Tigers just weeks ago, following a successful visit to Baton Rouge as well.
The Tigers have America’s No. 1 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, with more headlines expected sooner rather than later for a school that is sweeping the recruiting trail.
DeBose will be a name to watch in the coming weeks as he works through his process, with LSU swiftly emerging as the team to beat.
He plans to visit Baton Rouge this spring.
DJ Pickett: America’s #1 Defensive Back
The Bayou Bengals brought in five-star DJ Pickett for an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge last month, with Raymond spearheading the recruiting effort.
The No. 1 safety in the 2025 cycle visited “The Boot” to see the scenes from Death Valley.
Pickett arrived in Baton Rouge on Tuesday night (Jan. 30), stayed all day on Wednesday, and left on Thursday morning, according to LSU Country sources.
Just weeks later, Pickett has scheduled an official visit to LSU for June 1.
Pickett’s Summer Official Visit Schedule:
LSU: June 1.
Georgia: June 7.
Miami: June 14.
Oregon: June 21.
Pickett, who has risen through the recruiting ranks in recent months, announced a final five-school list in December that included Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Florida, and Michigan.
Now, he’s keeping LSU and Oregon in the running, with the Tigers making an unofficial visit. Since the visit, he’s changed his finalists, with LSU now a team to defeat.
The buzz around Pickett’s visit down south and the finalists:
Corey Raymond Leads the Charge
Despite being on work for less than a month, Raymond is already handling business on “The Trail.”
Raymond formerly coached at LSU from 2012 to 2021, where he coached seven first-team All-Americans and four first-round NFL draft choices. He also had five players picked in the NFL Draft’s second round, and he coached Grant Delpit, the 2019 Jim Thorpe Award winner.
Raymond was a former standout defensive back for the Tigers who went on to play six seasons in the NFL.
“Corey’s passion for LSU and the desire for our program to have the best defensive back unit in the country really stood out,” Kelly stated in the aftermath of the hire. “Corey’s tremendous knowledge and experience, along with his recruiting success, make him a great addition to a strong defensive staff.”
With Pickett on his way to Baton Rouge for a big-time unofficial visit, he now has the opportunity to wine and dine America’s top safety.
Pickett had maintained contact with Raymond during his time with the Florida Gators. Now, after returning to LSU, he’s had an impact on Pickett.
Corey Raymond has already had a significant impact on the Tigers’ program.
LSU received a commitment from Jaboree Antoine, the No. 3 cornerback in America, late last month as the program retools its secondary.
Keylan Moses and Other Tigers Push for Pickett
During last month’s visit, LSU threw out the red carpet for Pickett, with members of the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class stopping by.
The primary recruiter for the 2025 class has been four-star linebacker Keylan Moses, who made sure to check in with Pickett before leaving.
According to insiders, the two participated in a photoshoot and discussed future plans.
Along with Moses, DaShawn McBryde and Joel Rogers, both 2024 signees, attended Pickett’s visit.
The three safeties snapped selfies together while the two Tigers pitched to Pickett.
The Top 5 Schools
The Bayou Bengals welcomed Pickett in for an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge last month, and he quickly made an impression on his recruiters.
The No. 1 safety in the 2025 cycle traveled to “The Boot” to see the sights of Death Valley, and the Tigers immediately rose to the top of his list.
LSU was among Pickett’s top five schools, along with Oregon, Georgia, Michigan, and Miami.
LSU made great progress in Pickett’s recruiting, with the visit going “very well,” according to LSU Country sources. The Tigers are well-positioned as he begins to plan an official visit schedule.
Following a successful initial visit to Baton Rouge, the Tigers believe they are at or near the top of his list.
