Coach John Harbaugh feels Miami has a good coach in Anthony Weaver. The Miami Dolphins were one of the teams that looked to the Baltimore Ravens to fill a prominent coaching vacancy this summer. Weaver, one of three Baltimore defensive assistants from 2023 to be named head coach or defensive coordinator this season, was hired as defensive coordinator to take Vic Fangio’s spot. Denard Wilson became the defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans, and Mike McDonald, the former defensive coordinator for Baltimore, became the head coach for Seattle.
Weaver was the defensive line coach and assistant head coach to Jim Harbaugh during the previous campaign. When Harbaugh talked about him at the scouting combine on Tuesday, he was all smiles.
Harbaugh said, “Anthony is just an absolute star.” “Do you see him? He makes the space glow. And what a space hog he is. fills and illuminates a space, right? Then there’s the way he reacts, handles people, handles challenges, trains the team, and presents himself, and his general defense knowledge is incredibly great. Not just at a high level, but also in terms of coaching, player management, leadership, and interpersonal interactions. Simply put, I believe he is an amazing leader who will succeed in everything.
