When they take the stage on television, even the most well-known athletes can experience anxiety. Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes recently admitted that he turned down the opportunity to host Saturday Night Live because he was afraid of reading from a teleprompter.
Mahomes is accustomed to making speeches in front of large crowds, whether they are at Super Bowl parades or media appearances. He acknowledges that he feels a little uncomfortable reading scripted lines on camera, though.
