During this week’s events, Patrick Mahomes conveyed his enthusiasm for the recent additions made by the Kansas City Chiefs, stating he is pleased with the team’s actions.
The Chiefs took a risk in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft when they traded up to select Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy.
Worthy, who earlier this year broke the 40-yard dash record, is a tremendous talent and speed addition to the Chiefs’ receiving group.
Chiefs made shrewd decisions.
Kingsley Suamataia, an offensive tackle for BYU, was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round after they once again went all-in.
Suamataia, a well-known player, was named All-Big 12 last season after demonstrating his ability to support the offensive line and shield the quarterback.
Mahomes did not waste any time in expressing his admiration for Suamataia’s selection, complimenting Chiefs general manager Brett Veach for his well-considered purchases.
With excitement, Mahomes said, “I love Veach, man.”
When discussing the possibility of playing alongside Mahomes with reporters, Suamataia acknowledged that he was star-struck. To the young offensive tackle, blocking for the highly skilled and well-known Mahomes is a dream come true.
“Is Patty Mahomes blocking for herself? Suamataia said, expressing his amazement and excitement at the possibility. “It is mind-blowing.”
