Sunday Headlines: Jaguars welcome New Head Coach.

Kentucky Wildcats fans are enjoying a good laugh this morning as former offensive coordinator Liam Coen has jumped ship yet again from one program/team to another, this time deserting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Coen was reportedly hired as the next head coach of the Jaguars, despite pulling his name out of contention just recently AND agreeing to a contract extension with the Buccaneers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter was all over the situation late Thursday afternoon and followed things into the evening.

Jacksonville sacked general manager Trent Baalke earlier this week, and Coen’s interest in the organization appears to have shifted as a result. He will now take over one of the NFL’s poorest teams from last season, with the goal of restoring the young career of former No. 1 overall choice Trevor Lawrence.

Coen will also coach Josh Hines-Allen, a former Wildcat and Pro Bowler.

This entire situation may appear to be out of control, but Kentucky football fans would argue that it is not surprising. Coen’s second exit from the program in three years has left many Big Blue Nation members dissatisfied with their former coach, and they haven’t forgotten it.
