Chad Woodfork, a four-star 2025 EDGE footballer, has committed to TCU.
The second four-star talent in the 2024 class is acquired by the Horned Frogs.
On Friday, TCU football made the biggest recruiting splash of the 2025 cycle when four-star EDGE prospect Chad Woodfork, who is currently ranked as the top recruit in the TCU 2025 class, committed to the Horned Frogs. Before deciding on TCU, 6-foot-4, 220-pound Woodfork of Humble, Texas, received offers from Texas Tech and LSU. Ty Hawkins, an Elite 11 finalist and four-star quarterback, has committed to the Horned Frogs, making Woodfork their second four-star prospect of the 2025 class.
As of right now, TCU is ranked 16th in the 247Sports composite ratings system for the 2025 recruiting class. In recent weeks, the Horned Frogs have made commitments from a number of significant players, including three-star EDGE Anthony Williams and three-star EDGE John Schobel. These guys are defensive prospects. Woodfork, a football player from Summer Creek High School, is ranked as the nation’s No. 17 EDGE prospect. Over his final two high school seasons, Woodfork has racked up 56 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and one pass breakup.
