Sad News: Just In Bengals Confirm Departure Of Another Top Talented Star

The Cincinnati Bengals have confirmed that QB Joe Burrow has been given the green light for contact and is ready to participate in training camp

Joe Burrow has been cleared to resume full-contact workouts following wrist surgery, and he will join the Cincinnati Bengals for the opening of training camp on Wednesday.

Burrow was sidelined last season after damaging a ligament in his right wrist during a November 16 game against Baltimore. He had surgery on November 27 to treat the problem.

“We really need Joe to be out there,” said new offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher. “He’s in a great place physically and mentally.”

Coach Zac Taylor is unsure if Burrow or any other regular players will play in preseason games, or if adjustments would be required for Burrow throughout training camp. Taylor, though, seemed upbeat about Burrow’s preparedness.

“My impression of him over the last few months has been very positive, and he’s eager to get going,” Taylor continued.

Burrow has expertise recovering from wounds. He made a full recovery from a knee injury he suffered in Week 11 versus Washington during his rookie year in 2020, just in time for the 2021 campaign.

He missed all of training camp in 2022 due to appendicitis, and he did not miss any games in 2023 despite straining his calf muscle on the second day of camp.

Pitcher stressed how crucial it is that Burrow be fully healthy for training camp, especially since the Bengals will be adjusting to new offensive linemen Trent Brown and Zack Moss as their starting running back and wide receiver, respectively, and Tyler Boyd’s departure.

Pitcher said, “Having Joe out there at full strength really impacts everyone around him.” We sense that because we’re observing what he provides to the squad in the field. Having him out there for the whole of camp will be fantastic.
