Niko Bundalo, a highly regarded 4-star recruit in the class of 2025, is set to visit the University of Kentucky for an official meeting on the weekend of October 18th.

Ranked as high as 17th overall by On3, Bundalo’s recruitment has garnered significant attention, and this visit could play a crucial role in his decision-making process as the fall signing period approaches.

Standing at 6-foot-10 and weighing 205 pounds, Bundalo currently showcases his talents at Prolific Prep in California after transferring from Western Reserve Academy in Ohio. His skill set has attracted offers from a plethora of top-tier programs, including North Carolina, Kansas, UConn, Alabama, Michigan State, UCLA, Texas, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Louisville. The competition for his commitment is fierce, especially given the caliber of schools pursuing him.

In early August, Bundalo narrowed his list to a select group of schools, including Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pitt, Michigan State, UConn, Xavier, and Texas. His impressive play earned him a scholarship offer from Kentucky in June, highlighting the Wildcats’ interest in him as a potential addition to their roster.

Scouting reports praise Bundalo’s unique combination of size, athleticism, and skill. According to 247 Sports’ Adam Finkelstein, he is characterized as an “inside-out lefty four-man” who possesses deceptive strength and good bounce around the rim. His ability to score effectively in the low post and seal off defenders demonstrates a keen understanding of angles and positioning, making him a formidable offensive threat.

Kentucky’s coaching staff is also exploring other options for the 4 spot, namely Chris Cenac and Caleb Wilson, but Bundalo remains a strong candidate for that role. His official visit to Lexington will allow him to experience the program firsthand, meet the coaching staff, and gauge the campus environment, which could be pivotal in influencing his final decision.

As the recruitment landscape continues to evolve, all eyes will be on Bundalo as he assesses his options. With Kentucky’s storied basketball program known for developing talent and competing at the highest levels, a commitment from Bundalo would not only enhance the Wildcats’ roster but also solidify their standing as a powerhouse in college basketball.
