Joshua Moore, a four-star wide receiver out of Florida, was traded by Miami to Pembroke Pines, West Broward on Tuesday. Moore gives Miami the size they will need at wide receiver in the future at 6’4″ and 205 pounds. Moore is the 2025 class’s second wide receiver. Three-star wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw committed to Miami earlier in the 2025 class.
Pembroke Pines, West Broward, traded four-star wide receiver Joshua Moore to Miami on Tuesday. At 6’4″ and 205 pounds, Moore provides Miami with the necessary size at wide receiver in the long run. Moore is the second wide receiver in the 2025 class. Three-star wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw originally committed to Miami in the 2025 class.74
In the 2025 Miami class, which is currently ranked 12th in the 247Sports composite rankings, Moore is the 22nd commit. Moore and Upshaw will join Joshisa Trader, Ny Carr, and Chance Robinson—three four-star Miami wide receivers signed in 2024. In their last seasons, Moore and Upshaw will have chances alongside Jacolby George and Xavier Restrepo.
Isaiah Horton, RayRay Joseph, Shermar Kirk, Sam Brown, and other wide receivers on the Miami Heat roster in 2024 who have eligibility left after this season are included. Anticipate Miami to try to add a third wide receiver to the roster for the 2025 class or to pursue a player via the transfer portal.

Moore initially committed to Florida on June 26 after official visits to Coral Gables, Gainesville and Tallahassee earlier in the month. While Miami’s 2025 class rose with the Moore commitments, Florida now is 37th with the defection. Florida State has the 34th-ranked 2025 class.
Miami survived at California in a game that would have likely knocked them out of College Football Playoff projections with a loss. Five teams in front of Miami suffered losses on Saturday. Miami rallied from a 35-10 deficit at California to win 39-38. The post week six playoff projections are the biggest shakeup this season.
Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri, Michigan and USC all suffered losses on Saturday. For teams outside of the Big 10 and SEC, those losses could present big opportunities for the remainder of the season. Alabama, Tennessee and Missouri were all consensus projected playoff teams following week five.
